1 – 16 November 2008 – CHOCA: Amsterdams Chocolade Festival
CHOCA is about to be thé Amsterdam Chocolate Festival, organized by Amsterdam entrepreneurs and inspired by our rich cacao history and modern creativity. A culinary feast with lots of special activities and artistic expressions!
Why? Because cacao, chocolate and Amsterdam enjoy a long shared history with a bright, exciting future yet to come!
Visit a CHOCA-event with masterclasses or lunches, or one of the CHOCA-experiences like for example the chocolate dinner cruise or chocolate high-tea!

12 – 30 November 2008 – Amsterdam India Festival
Starting Nov 12th, Amsterdam will be temporarily transformed into India, with the intention to introduce the visitors to the culture of this fascinating country. Besides that, it will also position Holland and India as ‘the gateway to Europe’ where Dutch and Indian entrepreneurs can meet.
The main theme is Blended Cultures, characterizing India as well as Amsterdam.
You can expect music, dance, film, architecture, fashion, photography, art and multimedia.
Definitely visit the official opening by princess Maxima at the Museumplein (19:30pm), which is free of charge, so as several other manifestations at the Museumplein.

20 – 30 November 2008 – IDFA
The famous IDFA, short for International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam, will enjoy it’s 21st edition this year. All genres of national and international documentaries will be shown (about 300!!), varying from autobiography to political world matters, also the worldpremieres of several renewed documentaries will be presented to the crowd.
Many directors will also show up as guest speaker for questions afterwords.
This biggest documentary filmfestival of the world sure leaves room for discussion and fun!
Additional masterclasses, parties and talk shows will complete this inspiring, creative festival.
